For The Honest Kitchen’s trade show debut of a new pet food line, I designed a large-scale interactive book from concept to execution. One unique feature is a complex, three-tiered pop-up of illustrated ingredients that lifts off the page, adding dimensionality and movement to highlight the messaging. Another unexpected design element includes in-page windows filled with real herbs and spices—an engaging, tactile detail that reinforces the brand’s commitment to human-grade ingredients.
When no professional printer could meet the tight production deadline, I hand-cut, assembled, and bound multiple copies—drawing on my knowledge of pop-up mechanics and bookbinding to bring the concept to life. The following showcase challenges faced when creating the book:
